When done right, a home theater will provide you, your family, and friends, with the most exciting movie theater experience. There are many components of a high quality home theater system. They include the following:

A great picture- The Video signal will be sourced from a DVD player, High Definition Broadcast service (HDTV), VHS, or a DSS® satellite system, and displayed on a direct view television, rear projection, or two piece front projection system. It shall be calibrated to the SMPTE standards for NTSC, at 6500 Kelvin to obtain the finest results.

A great sound system-Your theater room will have speakers that will recreate sound the way the director intended. Whether a Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby ProLogic®, or a THX® certified system, special attention is paid to the location, placement, and selection of the speakers for your environment. They will include three speakers across the front: left, center, and right. The surround speakers shall be located on the side or rear walls, and there would be one or two subwoofers to handle the low frequency information that is present with movie soundtracks. CIS is THX® certified, providing you with the knowledge and experience to design, install and calibrate your home theater audio system.

Room treatment-The room is a very important part of the theater environment. CIS will work with you or your designer to address the acoustics, comfort, and aesthetic considerations that will make your theater come together.

Lighting control-The finishing touch of any home theater involves the atmosphere created by the lights. With a little attention to the lighting circuits for the room, we can integrate a lighting control system that will let you create that special mood. Imagine the lights gradually dimming all the way down as the movie starts, and at the end of your presentation, the lights turn all the way up, to gently announce the end of the movie experience.

Calibration-The most important part of any home theater, is the set up and calibration of the audio and video systems to industry standards, by trained technicians. The video system shall be balanced and calibrated to SMPTE standards, providing you with the finest picture possible .The audio system shall be tuned, balanced and calibrated in your room, to THX standards to recreate the soundtrack the way the movie director intended. Ease of Use- Probably the single most important aspect of your enjoyment is how easy your system is to use. Something we, in the business, call the user interface.
